IMPORTANT - Garbage Collection
Posted on Apr 9th, 2020

There will be only one (1) garden/yard waste removal for the month of April.  The covid-19 crisis has necessitated this change because the city is operating with reduced personnel.  The one-and-only April garden/yard waste pick-up for the Traditions will be on Wednesday, April 15th.  Please move your bags of garden/yard waste to the cul-de-sac at the main entrance (where the Traditions at Parks Edge sign is) the night before.  Earl and Co. who normally do this on Thursdays, will not be available for moving garden/yard waste bags to meet the Wednesday pick-up.  IT IS THEREFORE UP TO RESIDENTS TO PERFORM THIS TASK FOR THEMSELVES.
The city is having to suspend its recycling program starting this coming Monday due to a mechanical problem at the Thompson Road recycling center.  The suspension will likely last several weeks.  A part that moves recyclables broke down Tuesday and the company that makes that part has shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Since our garbage is collected on Fridays, we can still put out our recycling can today for the Friday April 10th pickup.  Now would be a good time to have your recycling can emptied and then you can let your recycling stay in the Rosie until the recycling plant is back up and open for business.  Paper recycling drop-off will continue at the city's specified locations.  People can still take paper wastes only to those drop-off locations.
